Shopify or WordPress Developer Needed for a Premium Wellness Website

We're looking for an experienced developer to design and build one website for a premium wellness brand. We are currently deciding between Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce. The final website will be developed on one platform only-we are not asking for the same website to be built in both Shopify and WordPress. We would like the selected developer to review the project requirements, recommend the more suitable platform and explain the practical advantages and limitations of that choice before development begins. The website will introduce the brand, educate customers about our products and support direct online purchases. The site is live and has been identified as a WordPress-built wellness website. These websites are visual and structural references only. We are not looking to copy either design. Initial Project Scope Review the business requirements and recommend Shopify or WordPress Explain why the selected platform is the better long-term choice Create or refine the website structure and user journey Work from Figma designs or help refine rough design direction Build the complete responsive website on the chosen platform Configure products, content sections, forms, and ecommerce functionality Integrate email marketing, analytics, reviews, and other required tools Optimize desktop and mobile performance Complete browser, device, cart, and checkout testing Provide an organized backend and basic handoff documentation Required Experience The right developer should be comfortable with: Shopify theme development or WordPress/WooCommerce development HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Shopify Liquid or PHP Responsive frontend development Custom sections, templates, and reusable components Ecommerce integrations API integrations Figma-to-development implementation Performance optimization GitHub or another Git-based workflow Experience with wellness, healthcare, beauty, skincare, fitness, or fashion websites is preferred.
