WordPress Website Migration & Shopify Retirement

Scope of Work: WordPress Website Migration & Shopify Retirement Project Overview I am looking for an experienced WordPress developer to migrate my existing websites as part of retiring my Shopify store. This is not a website redesign project. My goal is to duplicate the existing WordPress website, migrate the existing blog content from Shopify, and make Purple Monkey Manor the primary WordPress website. I have a clear vision for the finished product and intend to continue making design and content changes myself after launch. The finished website should therefore be easy for an experienced WordPress user to maintain without ongoing developer assistance. Existing Websites Current WordPress Website: julienealwilson.com Hosted on Bluehost Current Shopify Website purplemonkeymanor.com Contains the existing blog ("The Writing") and an online shop. Project Goal Retire the Shopify website and establish Purple Monkey Manor as a WordPress website using the existing Julie Neal Wilson website as the starting point. Scope of Work 1. Duplicate the Existing WordPress Website Duplicate the existing WordPress website (julienealwilson.com) onto the Bluehost installation for purplemonkeymanor.com. The duplicated site should preserve the existing layout, pages, navigation, images, and functionality. 2. Migrate the Shopify Blog Move all existing blog posts from the Shopify website into WordPress. The existing navigation item labeled "The Writing" currently links to the Shopify blog. After migration, it should link to the new WordPress blog. The migrated blog should preserve, whenever practical: * Titles * Publish dates * Featured images * Internal formatting * Categories 3. Domain & DNS Update DNS so that: * purplemonkeymanor.com points to the new Bluehost WordPress site. * SSL is functioning correctly. * The website loads properly over HTTPS. 4. Redirects Configure appropriate redirects so existing Shopify blog URLs continue working whenever practical. Please include any redirects necessary to minimize broken links after launch. Successful Completion The project will be considered complete when: * The WordPress website is live at purplemonkeymanor.com. * All pages from julienealwilson.com have been successfully duplicated. * All Shopify blog posts have been migrated. * The existing "The Writing" navigation points to the new WordPress blog. * Appropriate redirects have been configured. * SSL is functioning correctly. * Internal links function properly. * The website is fully editable through the standard WordPress dashboard without requiring custom development. Out of Scope The following items are not part of this project: * Website redesign * New branding * Copywriting * SEO optimization beyond preserving existing content * Analytics setup * Email marketing setup * Ongoing website maintenance Proposal Information Requested Please include the following with your proposal: * Estimated cost * Estimated timeline * Brief description of your migration approach * Examples of similar WordPress migration projects, if available * Any questions or recommendations before work begins Thank you!
