AI + API Integration Developer (ShopMetrics + Claude) for Mystery Shopping Validation Platform

We are a hospitality and customer experience measurement company seeking an experienced developer to build an AI-powered validation and report-processing workflow that integrates with ShopMetrics. Project Overview We use ShopMetrics as our mystery shopping platform. Evaluators complete detailed surveys and narrative reports, which are returned to ShopMetrics for manual validation and quality review. We would like to build an AI-assisted validation layer that: • Pulls completed assignments from ShopMetrics via API • Processes survey responses and narratives using Claude (Anthropic) • Applies custom business rules and editorial standards • Identifies inconsistencies, missing details, grammar issues, and policy violations • Rewrites or improves narrative content according to our standards • Generates validation recommendations and confidence scores • Allows for human review when needed • Writes approved changes back into ShopMetrics via API We understand that ShopMetrics provides a full API (v3) with query and command endpoints for retrieving and updating data. Technical Requirements We are looking for someone who can: • Design the overall architecture • Recommend whether the solution should be serverless or hosted • Integrate with ShopMetrics APIs • Integrate with Anthropic Claude APIs • Build structured prompt workflows and validation logic • Create audit logging and change tracking • Build a lightweight administrative interface for review and approval • Implement secure authentication and API key management • Deploy the solution into production Preferred Technology Stack Open to recommendations, but experience with the following is preferred: • Python or TypeScript • REST APIs • AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or similar serverless platforms • PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or equivalent • Anthropic Claude API • Workflow orchestration tools • Modern web frameworks for administrative dashboards Deliverables Phase 1 (Proof of Concept) • Connect to ShopMetrics sandbox/training environment • Pull completed assignments • Process selected survey responses through Claude • Generate validation recommendations • Display original vs. modified content • Demonstrate writeback capability to ShopMetrics Phase 2 (Production) • Full automation workflow • Role-based review dashboard • Audit trail and reporting • Production deployment and monitoring Required Experience Please provide examples of: • AI-powered workflow applications you have built • API integrations between SaaS platforms • LLM-based content validation or transformation projects • Any experience with mystery shopping, CX, survey platforms, or quality assurance workflows We are looking for a long-term partner, not just a one-time developer, as this platform may expand into additional AI-assisted quality assurance and reporting workflows.
