Full-Stack Developer Needed to Build MVP Modules for Stealth Education Technology Platform

We are building a stealth education technology platform that helps users create, upload, and analyze digital activity data, with the goal of generating structured skill profiles from that activity over time. We are looking for a strong full-stack developer with AI integration experience to build the first MVP of the platform. This will begin as a fixed-price engagement, structured around clear modules and milestones. For the right person, there is potential to continue beyond the MVP and grow into a Head of Development role as the platform develops. Because the platform is still in stealth, full product details will be shared after an NDA is signed. Product Overview The MVP will be a browser-based platform that allows individual users and institutions to manage digital activity sessions, upload video files, store session data, tag video content, and generate structured user profiles. The first version should focus on creating a clean, reliable workflow for collecting and organizing session data, with AI-assisted analysis through an API connection to a frontier model. We are not looking for a complex proprietary AI model in phase one. The initial AI layer should use an external model API to support analysis, tagging, summarization, or profile generation based on the uploaded session data and associated metadata. Core MVP Scope The platform should include: 1. User Accounts Users should be able to create accounts, log in, manage their profile, and view their own uploaded sessions and generated outputs. 2. Institution Dashboard Institutions should be able to create or manage groups of users, view uploaded sessions, monitor user activity, and access profile outputs for users associated with their institution. 3. Session Upload Flow Users should be able to upload video files through a clean browser-based interface. The current workflow we are trying to improve is too manual and fragmented: users record a video separately, then manually drag and drop it into an upload window. The MVP should include a strong upload experience with clear session metadata, progress handling, file validation, and storage. As an optional add-on, we would like bidders to propose whether there is a feasible way to streamline the upload process further, such as using a hotkey or lightweight companion workflow that helps users capture and upload footage more directly. 4. Video Storage Uploaded session videos need to be securely stored, organized, and associated with the correct user, institution, and session metadata. The system should be designed with future scalability in mind, even if the MVP starts with a simple storage architecture. 5. Video Tagging The MVP should include an admin or reviewer workflow for tagging uploaded video sessions. For phase one, this should support tagging around specific behavioural or skill-related categories. The initial tagging workflow should be practical, easy to use, and structured so that tagged data can later support more advanced analysis. 6. AI API Integration The platform should connect to a frontier AI model through an API. The AI layer may be used to support analysis of session metadata, tagged moments, summaries, structured profile generation, or other outputs. We are open to the developer’s recommendation on the best architecture for this phase. We are not expecting a custom-trained model in the MVP. 7. Profile Output The platform should generate a structured user profile based on the available session data, tags, and AI-assisted analysis. The output should be viewable by the user and, where appropriate, by the associated institution. 8. Admin Panel Admins should be able to manage users, institutions, uploaded sessions, tagging workflows, AI outputs, and basic platform settings. Preferred Engagement Structure We would like this project priced by module rather than as one vague fixed-price scope. Suggested modules may include: 1. Product architecture and technical planning 2. Authentication and user roles 3. Institution dashboard 4. Session upload and video storage 5. Video tagging workflow 6. AI API integration 7. Profile output generation 8. Admin panel 9. Optional enhanced capture/upload workflow Applicants should propose their own milestone structure, timeline, and fixed price for each module. Timeline We are open to a staged build. A rough expectation would be: * 2–4 weeks for a fast working prototype * 6–10 weeks for a more complete MVP We care more about building the right foundation than rushing a fragile demo. Ideal Developer Profile We are looking for a full-stack generalist with AI experience. The ideal candidate has experience with: * Building browser-based SaaS platforms * User accounts, permissions, and role-based dashboards * File upload workflows, especially large video files * Cloud storage and scalable backend architecture * Admin panels and internal tooling * AI API integrations * Structuring data for future analysis * Building clean MVPs that can evolve into production systems We do not have a required tech stack. We are open to recommendations. A good candidate should be able to explain trade-offs clearly and recommend a practical architecture for the MVP. Long-Term Opportunity This is initially a fixed-price MVP build. However, we are also looking for someone who could potentially become our long-term technical lead or Head of Development after the first engagement. This means we are especially interested in candidates who can think like a product builder, not just complete tickets. We want someone who can help shape the platform architecture, identify technical risks, and make practical decisions that support the next stage of the company. NDA Requirement Because the company is currently in stealth and the platform contains proprietary and patent pending elements, selected candidates will be required to sign an NDA before receiving the full scope and detailed product documentation. We are looking for someone who can reason through the product and technical architecture, not just build a standard web app.
