Full-Stack Developer (NestJS / Node.js), 30–40 hours/week

We're a small engineering team looking for a reliable mid-to-senior level developer to join us Our previous full-time freelancer had to step back due to health reasons, so we need someone who can step in, get up to speed, and become a genuine part of the team. You'll be working closely with one other developer: reviewing each other's code, discussing architecture decisions, and keeping things moving. We keep communication via Discord, preferably only in text in Hungarian. Stack: -Backend: Node.js / NestJS, DynamoDB, MySQL, Redis, OpenSearch - Frontend (nice to have): NuxtJS. No design work required, we work from an existing template; the job is assembling and wiring up components. Tools & workflow: - Jira for task management - GitHub for version control and pull requests - Discord for day-to-day communication What we're looking for: - Solid experience with NestJS and its ecosystem (modules, guards, interceptors, etc.) - Comfortable working with both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases - Hands-on experience with Redis (caching, queues, or pub/sub) - Clean code habits: you'll be doing mutual code reviews with a peer, so you should enjoy that process - Fluent in both Hungarian and English. Our team communication is bilingual, and this is a hard requirement - Mid-level to senior experience level Bonus points: - NuxtJS / Vue.js experience - Experience working in small product teams - Comfortable with async, remote-first workflows Engagement details: - Hours: 30–40 hrs/week - Start: ASAP - Duration: Indefinite / long-term
