Lead Full-Stack & Mobile Engineer to Build Video-First Community App (Web & Native)

About the Project: We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated Full-Stack & Mobile Engineer to architect, build, and launch a next-generation video-first community and learning platform from scratch. We are aiming to support a high-volume user base (20,000+ active members) with seamless, lag-free performance across the globe. This platform moves away from boring text threads and focuses heavily on high-engagement multimedia interactions. Core features include: Interactive Social Feed: Threaded video, voice, and text discussions. Course Management: Video-heavy learning modules with progress tracking. Rich Member Interaction: Direct messaging, group interactions, and gamification. Multilingual Support: Built from day one to serve a global, multi-language audience. Mobile-First Experience: A dedicated mobile application. A Native app (e.g., React Native or Flutter) is highly preferred, though we are open to a high-performance PWA or Native Wrapper if you can prove it will handle heavy video usage flawlessly. Your Role & Responsibilities: This is an end-to-end technical leadership role. You will own the technical execution from MVP to production, and into long-term maintenance. 1. Full-Stack Development: Build the web platform and the mobile application. 2. Infrastructure & DevOps: Set up, configure, and manage scalable servers and high-availability databases. 3. App Publishing: Manage the entire submission, review, and deployment process for the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. 4. AI Leverage: You will be expected to heavily leverage modern AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate delivery without sacrificing code quality, security, or architectural integrity. Key Technical Requirements & Stack: Frontend/Web: Modern web framework (e.g., Next.js / React) optimized for speed. Mobile: React Native, Flutter, or native languages (Swift/Kotlin). Backend & DevOps: Scalable backend (Node.js/Go/Python) paired with a robust database (PostgreSQL). You must know how to deploy and configure scalable server environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean). Media Infrastructure: Deep experience integrating third-party media CDNs (e.g., Mux, Cloudflare Stream, or AWS IVS) for video encoding, streaming, and asset storage. (We will not self-host raw video). App Store Publishing: Proven experience successfully navigating Apple and Google developer guidelines to get apps approved and live.
