About the role We're a boutique data & analytics consultancy delivering Business Intelligence projects (Power BI and Microsoft Fabric) for clients across Europe. We're growing and looking for a skilled Power BI / Fabric developer to join our delivery team on an ongoing basis. You'll build dashboards and data models in clients' Microsoft environments, working from wireframes and specifications under the direction of our project manager. We work to defined internal standards — naming conventions, data-modeling patterns, and a QA checklist that every deliverable passes before it reaches a client. You'll work from a company-provided, EU-hosted secure cloud workstation. We care about clean models, correct numbers, and reliable delivery — not flashy shortcuts. Strong written English and attention to detail matter as much as technical skill. What you'll do Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards from wireframes/specs. Design robust semantic/data models (star schema) and write clean, performant DAX. Shape and transform data with Power Query (M) and, in Fabric, with pipelines, dataflows, and notebooks. Implement row-level security, scheduled refreshes, and workspace/app deployment. Follow our naming and modeling standards and complete the QA checklist before handoff. Document your work clearly so it can be picked up and presented by others. Required skills Strong Power BI Desktop: data modeling (star schema, relationships), advanced DAX, Power Query / M. Power BI Service: workspaces, publishing, apps, scheduled refresh, gateways. Row-level security (RLS) design and testing. Solid SQL (joins, aggregations, reading and writing queries). Data-visualization and dashboard-design fundamentals: clarity, layout, performant visuals. Performance optimization: model size, VertiPaq, query folding, DAX tuning. Clear written English. Microsoft Fabric (important for us) Working knowledge of Fabric: Lakehouse and/or Warehouse, OneLake, semantic models, Direct Lake. Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2 for ingestion and transformation. Comfortable working end-to-end in the Fabric browser experience. Nice to have Fabric notebooks with PySpark / Python. Version control and deployment: Git integration, Power BI / Fabric deployment pipelines, Azure DevOps. External tools: Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit. Data-warehousing / ELT concepts: dimensional modeling, incremental refresh. Certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer). Ways of working Remote, ongoing engagement — we value long-term collaborators over one-off gigs. You'll work from a secure, company-provided EU-hosted cloud workstation (we set this up for you). You'll report to our project manager; work is assigned and tracked in ClickUp. Feedback and specs come in writing (wireframes, comments); live calls are kept to a minimum. [Optional — add your timezone/region preference here, e.g. "some overlap with Central European hours."] To apply Share a portfolio or 2–3 examples of Power BI work you've built (screenshots, PBIX, or a short walkthrough video — anonymized is fine). A line or two on a tricky DAX or data-modeling problem you solved, and how. Confirm your hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric specifically. Your availability (hours/week) and your rate.
