Technical AI Delivery Manager (AWS | Machine Learning | LLM | Generative AI)

We are seeking an experienced Technical AI Delivery Manager to lead the execution and delivery of Artificial Intelligence initiatives across multiple projects. This individual will serve as the bridge between executive leadership and technical engineering teams, ensuring AI solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate has successfully worked in both hands-on technical AI roles and engineering management. This is not a traditional project management positionwe are looking for someone who understands AI technologies at a various technical level and can effectively lead engineers, make informed technical decisions, and communicate progress to executive stakeholders. Responsibilities * Lead the day-to-day execution of AI and Machine Learning initiatives. * Manage cross-functional teams consisting of AI engineers, Machine Learning engineers, software developers, cloud engineers, data scientists, and QA resources. * Plan, prioritize, and track project deliverables while ensuring milestones are met. * Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings. * Coordinate technical resources and manage workloads across multiple initiatives. * Identify project risks, technical blockers, and dependencies, while driving timely resolution. * Provide clear daily and weekly executive status reports that include accomplishments, upcoming milestones, risks, issues, and resource utilization. * Maintain project plans, technical documentation, and delivery schedules. * Work closely with leadership to translate business objectives into technical execution plans. * Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on schedule. * Coordinate production releases and implementation activities. * Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. Required Technical Experience Candidates should have hands-on experience with several of the following technologies: Artificial Intelligence * Large Language Models (LLMs) * Machine Learning * Generative AI * Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) * AI Agents / Agentic AI * Prompt Engineering * Vector Databases * AI model evaluation and optimization Management Experience Candidates should have demonstrated experience: * Managing technical software development or AI engineering teams. * Leading Agile/Scrum software delivery efforts. * Coordinating engineers across multiple workstreams. * Managing schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. * Producing executive-level reporting and project updates. * Mentoring technical team members and driving accountability. * Managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications * 7+ years of experience managing software development or technical engineering teams. * 5+ years of hands-on experience with AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science initiatives. * Strong understanding of modern AI architectures and cloud-native development. * Experience delivering solutions in AWS environments. * Excellent communication and leadership skills. * Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership. * Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications * AWS certifications. * PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar project management certifications. * Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI frameworks. * Experience building and deploying production AI applications. * Experience implementing MLOps practices and AI governance. Success in This Role The ideal candidate is someone who is equally comfortable discussing AI architecture with engineers as they are presenting project status to executives. They are proactive, highly organized, technically credible, and capable of leading multiple AI initiatives while ensuring teams remain focused, accountable, and on schedule.
