AI-First WordPress Developer / Builder - Bricks, ACF, PHP, QA & Design-to-WordPress

Job description We’re looking for a part-time WordPress developer / website builder to help with ongoing website tasks on a project-by-project basis. The work will mainly involve taking existing designs, reference websites, client notes, or rough briefs and turning them into finished WordPress pages or sections. We want someone who understands WordPress properly, but who also uses AI tools heavily to speed up the build process. This is not a full-time role. We have regular work, but it will be assigned task by task depending on what needs doing. What we need help with - Building and editing WordPress pages and sections - Turning references, screenshots, rough briefs, or existing pages into finished WordPress layouts - Using page builders, like Bricks or Elementor (Bricks preferred but we have Elementor sites too) - Working with Advanced Custom Fields / ACF - Making changes to PHP, templates, CSS, and HTML where needed - Creating editable sections rather than hard-coded one-off pages - Fixing layout, spacing, mobile, and styling issues - QA’ing finished pages so they match the brief/reference and look polished - Troubleshooting WordPress issues - Using AI tools to speed up coding, debugging, layout work, and QA Who we’re looking for You should have: - Solid WordPress experience - Experience with Bricks and other page builders - Experience with ACF - PHP, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript knowledge - Good attention to detail - Strong responsive/mobile layout skills - A practical, problem-solving mindset - Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, or similar in your normal workflow We’re especially interested in people who have genuinely adopted AI as part of how they work - not just someone who occasionally asks ChatGPT a question. How the work will happen We’ll send over specific tasks, such as: - Build this page/section in WordPress - Recreate this layout from a reference - Fix this mobile issue - Add or update ACF fields - Polish and QA this page before it goes live You’ll quote or estimate the task, complete the work, and we’ll move on to the next item when there’s more to do.
