Our team brings experience across fintech, product, and growth: Co-Founder & CEO: A CPA, tech executive with 12+ years of community-building experience, previously serving as CFO at Touchtech Payments (acquired by Stripe), growth lead at Stripe and working with Paystack. Software Engineer: A fintech-focused software engineer (ex-Toptal) who built the initial platform. Product Lead: A product strategist with ex-Meta experience. Marketing Lead: A growth marketer, formerly ex-Ingressive Capital. Role Overview We are looking for a front-end focused full-stack engineer who genuinely loves UI/UX implementation and independent product thinking. You will be joining a small, experienced pre-seed startup where you will take ownership of our user-facing platform, helping us build clean, functional, and bug-free interfaces. You will work closely with our Product Lead and our existing Software Engineer to build onto the system, bridging the gap between design and production-ready code. We need a strong communicator who thinks independently, flags risks early, and ensures that features work reliably without breaking existing parts of the application. What You’ll Be Doing - Frontend Development: Translate wireframes and designs into clean, responsive, and functional user interfaces using React and TailwindCSS. - End-to-End Feature Ownership: Own user-facing features from design handoff to production deployment with minimal supervision, ensuring the logic is solid and edge cases are covered. - Team Collaboration: Partner closely with our Product Lead on scoping features, and work hand-in-hand with our Designer to execute the product vision. - Proactive Risk Management: Highlight potential product issues, dependencies, and code risks early in the development cycle before they turn into bugs. - AI-Leveraged Velocity: Utilise AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude) to accelerate your development speed, write tests, and maintain code quality. - Full-Stack Integration: Comfortably dive into our Ruby on Rails backend when necessary to integrate APIs and support full feature rollouts. - Startup DNA: Proven ability to thrive in early-stage environments—comfortable with ambiguity, rapid pivots, and wearing multiple hats - POC Expertise: Demonstrated success leading proof-of-concept or pilot projects from zero to launch Our Tech Stack Frontend: React, TailwindCSS, ERB templates, Shakapacker, shadcn/ui Backend: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Redis Infrastructure: Docker, CI/CD pipelines
