Full-Stack Developer (React + Flask/Python) — Fintech Savings Platform

Description We’re building a financial services platform focused on savings. We’re looking for a full-stack developer to build the complete product: React frontend and Flask backend. What you’ll build A mobile-first web application with: * Clean, responsive React frontend (mobile is the priority — most users will be on phones) * Flask REST API backend * User authentication with phone/OTP verification * Group creation and member management * Automated scheduling and background jobs * SMS/WhatsApp notifications via Twilio * Payment tracking and transaction history (we coordinate payments — we do not hold or move money) * PostgreSQL database Tech stack (required) Frontend: * React (functional components + hooks) * Tailwind CSS for styling * Mobile-first responsive design * Clean state management and API integration (fetch/axios) Backend: * Python 3.10+ with Flask * PostgreSQL + SQLAlchemy * JWT authentication * APScheduler for automated tasks * Twilio API for notifications * RESTful API design with CORS Infrastructure: * Deployment on Railway (or similar modern platform) * Git/GitHub workflow What we’re looking for Must have: * Strong React portfolio — share 2+ apps you’ve built (live links preferred) * Solid Flask/Python backend experience * Experience building and consuming REST APIs * Comfortable with PostgreSQL and database design * Mobile-first responsive design skills * Available 20+ hours/week, starting this week * Good communication and daily updates Nice to have: * Twilio or SMS API integration experience * Deployed apps on Railway/Render/Heroku * Fintech or payments experience * An eye for clean UI/UX What we’ll provide * Clear requirements and wireframes * Design reference for the frontend * Twilio account and API keys * Railway and GitHub access * Fast feedback and decision-making Deliverables 1. Complete React frontend (all screens, mobile-responsive) 2. Working Flask REST API 3. PostgreSQL database with full schema 4. Twilio notification integration 5. Automated scheduling 6. Deployed, working app on a live URL 7. Clean documentation and 2 weeks post-launch bug support Timeline & milestones * Week 1–2: Database, authentication, core API + frontend scaffolding * Week 3–4: Group management, main app screens, API integration * Week 5–6: Notifications, scheduling, payment tracking UI * Week 7–8: Testing, polish, deployment To apply, please include: 1.
