Senior Next.js / React / TypeScript Front-End Developer for Web Platform

We are building a modern web platform (a registry/portal application) and are looking for a Senior Front-End Developer with deep expertise in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS to join an existing distributed team. ABOUT THE WORK The platform is an authenticated, multi-role web application that integrates with a documented backend API (OpenAPI spec provided). You will build clean, responsive, production-grade interfaces and integrate them against real, live API endpoints. This is not a greenfield prototype — you will be working within an established codebase alongside other developers, so strong Git discipline and clear communication are essential. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Implement responsive, accessible UI in Next.js / React / TypeScript using Tailwind CSS. - Integrate front-end components against live REST API endpoints per the provided OpenAPI specification. - Handle authentication flows (Auth0) and role-based views correctly. - Implement proper loading, empty, and error states for every data-driven view. - Write clean, typed, maintainable code with no mock data or hardcoded credentials in production paths. REQUIREMENTS - 3+ years of professional experience with React and Next.js. - Strong TypeScript skills (no "any" shortcuts). - Proven experience integrating front-ends with real REST APIs and handling auth (Auth0 or similar OIDC providers). - Experience working in a shared repository with feature branches and pull requests. - Excellent written English and reliable communication across time zones. HOW WE WORK (DEFINITION OF DONE) Every deliverable must include: 1) A working staging URL. 2) The commit hash / PR link. 3) A short Loom video walking through the feature. 4) Technical notes (what was changed, any assumptions, known issues). Real API errors must be surfaced — never masked with mock fallbacks. ENGAGEMENT & BUDGET We start with a small paid trial task (USD 150) to confirm fit and code quality. On successful completion, we move into the main contract (USD 1,350), split into clearly defined milestones. Payment is released per milestone only after the Definition of Done items above are verified.
