AI Engineer and Full Stack Developer

We are seeking an experienced AI engineer and full-stack developer to enhance and further develop our existing web application into a lean, secure and scalable customer backend for digital insurance claims support. The role involves integrating AI models into the backend, connecting them with structured customer, claim and document data, and ensuring seamless interaction with the front end. The digital DSH claims assistant should proactively guide users through their claims, request missing information and documents, analyse the available material, create a clear chronology and always recommend one meaningful next step. Key requirements include: * Strong experience in AI engineering and full-stack web development * Practical experience integrating OpenAI models or comparable AI services * Development of secure customer registration, authentication and account management * Creation of a central customer and claims database with basic CRM functionality * Support for multiple claims, insurance contracts and documents per customer * Structured handling of building, household contents, liability, legal expenses and other insurance types * Document upload, classification, OCR, extraction and AI-supported analysis * Separate handling of insurance policy schedules and the applicable insurance terms and conditions * AI-supported generation of summaries, chronologies, document requests and correspondence * Integration with Gmail for email sending and case-related communication * Integration of relevant information from Outlook, Outlook Calendar and Google Drive * Controlled migration or transitional use of existing CRM and Salesforce data * Stripe integration for a seven-day free trial, subscriptions, invoices, payment methods, upgrades and cancellations * A responsive customer backend based on the existing DSH UX/UI concept and the visual identity of deutsche-schadenshilfe.de * A simple administration interface for customers, claims, tasks, documents, communication and processing status * Secure role and access management, audit logs, consent records and GDPR-compliant data handling * Reliable API integrations, webhook processing, error handling, testing and technical documentation * Clean, maintainable and scalable architecture without unnecessary complexity The standard customer journey should remain primarily self-service. The Premium plan should only be presented when a customer requests personal telephone advice or access to the DSH expert network, including surveyors, lawyers or restoration companies. This description represents our current concept for a first MVP based on a strict “keep it simple” approach. It is an initial draft rather than a final technical specification. The detailed scope, workflows, integrations, architecture and priorities will be reviewed, specified and, where appropriate, simplified or adjusted together during the initial discovery and collaboration phase. Required technical skills include full-stack web development, PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React, HTML5, relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, REST API development, OpenAI API integration, Stripe Billing and secure authentication. Experience integrating Gmail, Google Drive, Outlook and Outlook Calendar through Google APIs, OAuth and Microsoft Graph is highly desirable. Familiarity with jQuery is useful for working with existing components but is not intended to define the architecture of the new application.
