Backend Automation Engineer: Automated Video Asset Pipeline & API Orchestration (n8n)

We are seeking an expert n8n automation engineer to build and deploy a fully automated, headless video content assembly and distribution pipeline. The system will programmatically ingest structured data payloads, coordinate asset generation through open-source media APIs, handle remote file rendering, and automate publishing workflows with zero manual intervention. This is a pure backend development and implementation contract. All logic, state management, and API orchestration must be built and managed natively within n8n. Technical Scope & Workflow Architecture The engineer will be responsible for building a robust, fault-tolerant system executing the following sequence: 1. Data Ingestion & Script Synthesis Trigger: Schedule-based cron triggers or webhook data payloads. Logic: Ingest structured text topics, query an LLM engine via API to generate highly structured script outputs (JSON format), and separate the data into programmatic voiceover and visual asset prompts. 2. Asynchronous Audio Generation & Asset Sync API Integration: Route text strings to external text-to-speech (TTS) APIs. Execution: Retrieve the rendered audio files, parse metadata for timing, and temporarily stage the assets in secure cloud storage. 3. Programmatic Visual Ingestion & Dynamic Generation API Integration: Interface with image generation APIs or cloud media libraries to automatically retrieve b-roll, graphics, and visual assets based on the structural prompt outputs. Logic: Match visual assets precisely to the generated audio duration fields. 4. Remote Media Synthesis & Rendering Engine API/Webhook Integration: Pass the staged audio and visual asset URLs to a headless cloud video rendering API (e.g., Remotion, Shotstack, or a custom FFmpeg webhook server). Execution: Monitor the render status asynchronously until the final high-definition MP4 file payload is complete and validated. 5. Headless Content Distribution & API Publishing Integration: Connect the pipeline to secure API endpoints for data distribution channels to automatically upload the media, map structured metadata (titles, descriptions, tags), and execute programmatic publishing. Deliverables Production-Grade Workflows: Documented, modular n8n workflows handling all API authentications, payload structures, and asset routing. State & Queue Management: Implementation of database or data-store logging to track rendering jobs and asset queues across multiple executions.
