Senior Full-Stack Web Developer for WordPress + Shopify Integration

We are seeking a senior full-stack web developer to integrate WordPress and Shopify platforms. The role involves developing custom solutions to enhance user experience and ensure seamless integration between the two platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in PHP, JavaScript, and HTML5, and be able to work independently to deliver high-quality results. PROJECT SCOPE — WEBSITE SECTIONS 1. Home Page • Professional, welcoming landing page with strong visual identity • Mission and vision statement prominently featured • Featured articles and latest blog posts • Latest videos (YouTube embed) • Upcoming events section • Newsletter signup (Mailchimp or ConvertKit integration) • Featured products from the Rooted in Tewahedo store • Donation section (future-ready placeholder) 2. Knowledge Hub A searchable, filterable article library containing hundreds of resources organized by category. Categories to include: • Parenting & Raising Orthodox Children • Teen Challenges & Adolescent Faith • Mental Health & Emotional Wellness • Marriage & Family Life • College Preparation & Career • Faith & Apologetics • Ethiopian & Eritrean Culture & Heritage • Church History & Saints • Technology, Social Media & Addiction • Prayer Life & Spiritual Disciplines • Bible Study & Sunday School Resources 3. Community Forum A moderated discussion space where registered members can connect, ask questions, and share experiences. Rooted in Tewahedo Store (Shopify Integration) Our existing Shopify store will be integrated into the WordPress site using the Shopify Buy Button or a similar embedded solution. Blog Full-featured blog with categories, tags, featured images, related articles, and search functionality. Easy content management for non-technical administrators. 7. Membership Area (Future-Ready Architecture) The site architecture must support future implementation of: • Free and Premium membership tiers • Gated course access • Exclusive downloadable resources • Member-only community spaces 8. Events A calendar and events management system for church events, youth conferences, retreats, and webinars — with registration capability. 9. Email Newsletter Integration Full integration with Mailchimp or ConvertKit, including opt-in forms, list segmentation, and automated welcome sequences. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS We have an established brand identity. The developer will receive our full brand style guide, logo files, color palette, and typography specifications. Do not redesign our brand — build within it. The developer is responsible for design, structure, technical implementation, and platform configuration — not content creation. We are content-ready and will not cause delays on our end.
