AI automation senior developer (Europe)

187N builds and deploys custom AI agents and automations for established businesses — done-for-you, end-to-end. We're not a template shop and we don't hand off half-finished modules. We're expanding our delivery team and looking for senior engineers who can own a build from architecture to launch. What you'll be doing 1. Building production AI agents that take autonomous action 2. Designing and shipping MCP servers and integrations 3. Building automations across n8n / Make / Zapier and custom code 4. Integrating with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce) and client systems via APIs and webhooks 5. Owning builds end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, handoff Tools we actually use day-to-day: 1. Agentic coding: Claude Code, Codex 2. MCP (Model Context Protocol) — building and integrating servers 3. LLM APIs: Anthropic, OpenAI Automation: n8n, Make, Zapier 4. E-commerce: Shopify, WooCommerce Who this is for You've been building in this space long enough to have strong opinions about what survives in production. You can read a client problem and map the architecture on the spot. You are not learning AI automation on our clients' time. To be considered for a call, you must: 1. Have 3+ years professional dev experience with demonstrable hands-on AI/LLM automation work — not a recent AI pivot. 2. Provide verifiable proof of work — GitHub repos, commit history, or PRs (public, or private with an NDA-friendly walkthrough). 3. Have shipped production AI systems real clients depend on — not courses, tutorials, or personal experiments. 4. Have hands-on experience with our stack (answer specifically per item below). 5. Have reliable overlap with European business hours ([10:00–18:00 CET]). 6. Communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
