Install & Configure Pre-Built Python Scripts on My Windows PC (API → Excel, Task Scheduler)

Job Description I have a small, already-built and fully documented Python tool that pulls data from a REST API and writes it into dated Excel files on my Windows PC. I need someone to install it, configure it, confirm it works against my live API key, and schedule it to run automatically. No new software needs to be written. The code, the Excel template, and step-by-step setup guides are all complete and will be provided to you as a zip file. I'd like this done on my computer over a remote screen-share session (Zoom, Google Meet, AnyDesk, or TeamViewer — your preference), with me present for the entire session. What's included in the package: A main data-capture script An optional dashboard (Streamlit) An optional results-grading script An Excel template A requirements file for each script Detailed setup and developer handoff guides Tasks Install Python 3.11+ on my Windows PC, plus the listed dependencies. Place the files and create the output folder (synced to Google Drive / OneDrive). Fill in the small CONFIG block at the top of each script (folder paths, etc.) and set my API key as a Windows system environment variable. Do one manual test run and confirm the daily Excel file is created and populated correctly. Validate the first live API response against what the scripts expect, and adjust a few clearly-labeled field-name mappings if the live data differs from the documentation. (This is the one part that requires someone who can read and lightly edit Python.) Set the tool up in Windows Task Scheduler to run automatically, indefinitely (“run whether user is logged on or not”). Optionally: get the dashboard and grading script running and scheduled as well. Confirm everything keeps running after I close the session. Required Skills Solid Python (enough to read functions and fix a data field-mapping, not just run a script). Experience with REST / JSON APIs. Windows Task Scheduler and Windows environment variables. Bonus: experience with openpyxl / Excel automation and Streamlit. What I'll Provide The complete zip package (scripts, template, and documentation). My paid API key. Remote access to my PC during the session. The included setup docs estimate roughly 1–2 hours of work; please budget up to half a day to be safe. The main variable is the live-API validation step described above.
