Lead Developer — Multi-App SaaS Ecosystem

About the Role Elev8 Matrix is seeking a senior Lead Developer to take ownership of our growing software ecosystem — a multi-app B2B operational infrastructure platform (orchestration, financial evaluation, AI intelligence, execution workspace, and governance tools working together). We need someone who has actually led teams of this scale before, not managed a handful of juniors and called it leadership. What You'll Own Technical leadership across our full development team, coordinating output across multiple concurrent workstreams Architecture decisions for a multi-app ecosystem with interdependent services Code quality, technical debt management, and sprint delivery accountability Direct coordination with our Accountability/Ops layer on delivery timelines and Definition of Done standards Mentorship and technical direction for mid-level and junior developers on the team Required Experience Proven track record leading development teams of 8 or more engineers on a single project or product (not cumulative across small teams — we will verify this) History of shipping and scaling complex, multi-service software products from early stage to production maturity Strong architectural judgment — able to explain trade-offs, not just execute tickets Experience with distributed/async team structures (we operate across time zones) Comfortable working with strict accountability and reporting structures — we track execution rigorously Nice to Have Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly operational/financial tooling Familiarity with AI-integrated products (LLM APIs, AI-assisted workflows) Git/GitHub workflow fluency for multi-developer repos How to Apply Please include: A specific example of a project where you led 8+ developers — team size, your exact role, and the outcome Links to shipped products you led (not just contributed to)
