Senior Full-Stack Automation Engineer Needed (API Integrations + Logistics Workflow Automation)

Bigfella Auto Express is an established auto transport brokerage building a more automated vehicle shipping platform. We currently have a functioning customer-facing website, instant quote calculator, CRM, payment workflow, and dispatch software. We are looking for a senior developer who can connect these systems and automate our complete customer booking-to-delivery workflow. This is not a greenfield SaaS build at this stage. The immediate goal is to automate our existing operations, reduce manual dispatch work, and create the foundation for a larger logistics technology platform. Long term, we plan to build more proprietary technology, including our own carrier marketplace and dispatch systems. We need someone who understands how to build scalable integrations without creating unnecessary platform lock-in. Current Technology Stack Current systems include: Custom website with pricing calculator HubSpot CRM Stripe payment processing Super Dispatch dispatch/loadboard platform Existing website forms and workflows API/webhook-based integrations Project Goal Build an automation layer that connects our existing systems. The desired workflow: Customer visits website ↓ Customer receives instant vehicle shipping quote ↓ Customer books shipment online ↓ Customer enters payment information for authorization ↓ Booking information automatically enters our system ↓ Shipment/order is created in Super Dispatch through API ↓ Load is posted to carrier network/loadboard ↓ Carrier accepts shipment ↓ Customer payment workflow is triggered ↓ Carrier information and pickup details are automatically sent to customer ↓ Customer receives automated email/SMS updates throughout transport ↓ Delivery completed and final notifications sent Required Work 1. Booking Automation Build the workflow from customer booking to dispatch. Requirements: Capture booking information Create/update HubSpot contacts and deals Store shipment information Trigger automation workflows Handle errors and failed transactions Create a reliable backend workflow 2. Super Dispatch API Integration Experience with API integrations is required. Need the ability to: Create transport orders through Super Dispatch API Update orders Send shipment information automatically Post loads to available carrier networks/loadboards Receive shipment updates through webhooks Capture carrier assignment information Retrieve shipment status updates Handle shipment lifecycle events Important: We want the integration designed correctly so Super Dispatch can be replaced in the future if we build our own dispatch technology. The preferred architecture: Website ↓ Our Automation Backend/API ↓ Super Dispatch API ↓ Other services (payments, CRM, messaging) We do not want a fragile direct connection between our website and third-party platforms. 3. Stripe Payment Automation Build payment workflows including: Customer payment authorization during booking Payment status tracking Automated payment capture based on shipment events Error handling CRM/payment status updates Experience with Stripe APIs, Payment Intents, or Setup Intents is preferred. 4. Customer Communication Automation We need automated customer updates throughout the transport process. Examples: Booking confirmation: "Thank you for booking your vehicle shipment. We are locating your carrier." Carrier assigned: "Your vehicle has been assigned to a carrier. Pickup information is below." Pickup: "Your vehicle has been picked up and is now in transit." Delivery: "Your vehicle has been delivered." We are open to recommendations for communication tools. Possible solutions may include: SMS providers such as Twilio or alternatives HubSpot communication tools Other transactional messaging platforms The goal is reliable automated customer communication. 5. HubSpot CRM Automation Integrate our CRM workflow.
