AI-Powered App to Match Businesses with Online Communities

Project Overview We're building a web app that helps businesses discover the right online communities to engage with in order to reach their target audience, and helps them engage with those communities authentically over time. A user answers a few onboarding questions about their business, and the app returns an AI-matched shortlist of relevant communities, ranked and scored against a few criteria. From there, users can refine the list and get help engaging with the communities they choose. We have a complete, detailed development plan already written and are looking for a developer to build the V1 from it. Full technical details will be shared directly with the developer we hire. Scope for This Project (V1) A web app covering business onboarding, AI-matched recommendations, and guided engagement No fully automated posting — all AI-drafted content requires human approval before use Full technical scope and data sources will be discussed directly with shortlisted candidates What You'll Be Building A backend system that organizes a structured database and scores entries against a few custom criteria (specifics shared with the selected developer). An AI matching layer that takes a user's business profile and returns a ranked, personalized shortlist from that database, with a "swap this suggestion" refine flow. AI-assisted drafting features that generate suggested content for a user to review and approve before anything is used or posted anywhere. A monitoring feature (for a future paid tier) that surfaces new relevant opportunities for the user to review — always with human approval, never automated. An onboarding flow, dashboard, and notification system (email/in-app) tying everything together. A marketing landing page for the product (copy/design guidance will be provided). Ideal Candidate Full-stack capability — comfortable building both backend services and a clean, functional front-end (framework-agnostic; open to your recommendation). Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) for content classification and generation tasks. Comfortable with database design and structuring data for search/matching use cases. Able to work from a detailed written spec and ask clarifying questions rather than needing everything designed for you — we have the product plan ready, but we're not developers ourselves and will rely on you for technical implementation decisions. Experience with consumer or B2B SaaS MVPs is a strong plus. Deliverables A working V1 covering onboarding → AI-matched shortlist → refine → engagement assistance (with human approval) → notifications/dashboard. Clean, documented code and a brief technical handoff document (what was built, key decisions, how to extend it). The landing page, live and functional.
