Full-Stack Next.js Developer to Complete & Launch Existing Marketplace MVP

SWAP Sanctuary – Full-Stack Developer Needed to Take Existing Marketplace Prototype to Production I’m looking for a reliable full-stack developer to take an existing working prototype of SWAP Sanctuary, a community marketplace for Skills, Services & Goods, and develop it into a secure, production-ready platform. This is NOT a build-from-scratch project. I already have: A working prototype/codebase The core user journeys and design direction A detailed developer handover specification A comprehensive SRD for reference where required Branding and logo The prototype already includes member accounts, profiles, listings, marketplace browsing, swap requests, swap management and value balancing. The existing stack includes Next.js, React and TypeScript, with backend/database functionality already in place. The developer will review the existing codebase first and advise what can safely be retained versus what needs improving for production. Key work includes: Production-hardening the existing prototype Completing/refining authentication and member accounts Skills, Services & Goods listings and appropriate categories SWAP request, agreement and completion journeys SWAP Credits and value-balancing logic £GBP throughout, including payment configuration Membership/subscription functionality Messaging and notifications Verification/document workflows Reviews and trust/safety features Admin/moderation functionality Responsive/mobile-friendly experience Security, testing and deployment readiness I’m a non-technical founder, so I’m looking for someone who communicates clearly, can explain technical decisions in straightforward language, and will flag unnecessary complexity rather than simply adding development hours. I would prefer the project to be broken into clear milestones, beginning with a technical review of the existing prototype/codebase before committing to the full build.
