Python Developer Needed for BetExplorer Web Scraper & Data Export

The aim of this project is to develop a reliable Python web scraping script designed to automate the extraction of data regarding football matches and betting odds from the "Betexplorer.com" website. The script must allow for the selection of a specific date, ranging from today's matches to past or future dates, using the site's calendar or archive to extract information on the listed fixtures. For each match, the script must capture key details (teams, league, kick-off time) and odds for the 1X2 and Over/Under goals markets, directly from the general summary pages. Additionally, the script must access individual match pages to retrieve standings-related statistics (specifically, the number of events for the 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 thresholds) for both teams. The script must correctly handle exceptions such as cup matches, single-leg knockout ties, and friendlies, which feature different page layouts compared to standard league matches. These cases are not required and can be ignored (leaving the corresponding fields blank in the extracted data). All collected data must be organized neatly and exported in a structured format (CSV or Excel), ready for subsequent data analysis stages.
