React/Next.js Frontend Developer

Asinko (Asinko Oy, Helsinki) is an early-stage Finnish startup building a social network for markets and finance discussion, working toward a January beta. HOW WE WORK The product is specified as a documented REST API contract per feature area (auth, posts, communities, feed, and so on). Frontend work is cut into small fixed-price milestones, each scoped against a written spec with acceptance criteria — no vague asks. You consume the API; you never need to build or touch the backend. FIRST TASK Every collaboration starts with one small paid test task, always on the frontend side: either a UI component (React/Next.js + TypeScript) consuming one documented endpoint, or the typed integration layer for one endpoint (API client + hook, with loading/error/empty states). Same spec and same price for every candidate, so results are comparable. Deliverable: working code in a Git repo meeting the acceptance criteria. If it goes well: a steady pipeline of scoped tasks, and potentially a longer-term arrangement (contract-to-hire enabled). REQUIRED - React + Next.js + TypeScript - Comfortable consuming a REST API against a written contract - Git; autonomous delivery from spec - Fluent Spanish or English (code and docs are in English) - Available to start now NICE TO HAVE - Tailwind CSS - Backend familiarity (Node / PostgreSQL) — helps when reading the API contract; all tasks are frontend-side TO APPLY, ANSWER 1.
