SaaS Subscription & Billing Platform Developer (React, PostgreSQL, Stripe, AI-assisted features)

We're building a multi-tenant SaaS product and need an experienced full-stack developer to design and implement the subscription/billing layer, a usage analytics dashboard, and a lightweight AI-assisted insights feature. This isn't a simple "add a payment button" job we need someone who understands SaaS architecture: tenant isolation, plan tiers, metered billing, and how billing/usage data can power smart, automated insights for users. What we need: - Subscription/billing system with plan tiers, upgrades/downgrades, trials, and invoicing - Stripe (or similar) integration for recurring payments, webhooks, and failed-payment handling - Multi-tenant data architecture (row-level isolation or schema-based — your recommendation) - Usage analytics dashboard (per-tenant metrics, admin-level overview) - An AI-assisted feature layered on top of usage data — e.g., auto-generated usage summaries, churn-risk flagging, or a simple natural-language query assistant for the dashboard (using OpenAI/Claude API or similar — we're open to your recommended approach) - Role-based access control (tenant admin vs. end user vs. our internal team) - Clean, documented code — must be maintainable by another developer later Ideal skills: - React / Next.js (frontend) - Node.js / Express.js (backend) - PostgreSQL (multi-tenant schema design) - Stripe API (or Paddle/Chargebee) — recurring billing, webhooks - REST API development - Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into a product feature — not just chatbots, but data-driven use cases - Experience building SaaS billing systems or multi-tenant platforms specifically (not just generic e-commerce checkout) Nice to have: - Docker/CI-CD experience - Experience with usage-based/metered billing models - Background in data visualization (charts/dashboards) libraries like Recharts or D3 - Prior work building AI-powered analytics or reporting features Please include in your proposal: a similar SaaS billing/multi-tenant project you've built (link if possible), an example of an AI feature you've integrated into a product (not just a demo chatbot), your suggested tech approach for the AI-assisted insights piece, and an estimated timeline.
