Senior AI Systems Architect / Full-Stack Developer — SMS, Voice & API Platform

We are looking for an exceptional senior software engineer, AI systems architect, or experienced development team to build a production-grade conversational platform for customers who do not use internet access on their phones. Our primary market is the Hasidic community. Customers must be able to access internet-based services entirely through SMS/MMS, phone calls, and supported messaging channels — without ever being required to click a link, open a website, download an app, or complete a web checkout. The system will function as one intelligent AI assistant capable of handling several types of transactions, including: - Flights, hotels, and rental cars - Uber/Lyft or similar transportation - Kosher food ordering / Uber Eats integrations - Local professionals such as plumbers, electricians, handymen, etc. - Chabad location integration for travel and hotel recommendations A customer should be able to make a complex request in one conversation, such as: “I need to travel from New York to Miami next week for two adults. Find an afternoon flight, a hotel under $200 within walking distance of a Chabad shul, the cheapest rental car, and transportation to the airport.” The AI should understand the complete request, search multiple services, present options, handle conversational follow-up questions, obtain confirmation, and execute supported bookings through backend APIs. Key requirements include: - Natural conversational AI with persistent context - SMS/MMS and voice/telephone integration - Understanding written and spoken Yiddish - External API integrations and transactional workflows - Travel booking APIs - Transportation and food-delivery integrations - Local-services marketplace integrations - Customer profiles and persistent preferences - PCI-compliant telephone/IVR credit-card tokenization with no web links - Chabad shul location data and walking-distance calculations - Image sending and receiving - Automated image filtering so customer-facing images contain no people - Human-agent takeover when automation fails - Admin dashboard - Production deployment, security, monitoring, and scalability - Architecture capable of approximately 20,000 SMS messages per day This is NOT a simple chatbot project. We need someone who has previously built complex production systems involving AI agents, external APIs, transactional workflows, telephony/messaging, databases, security, and cloud infrastructure. We are open to either an exceptional individual architect/engineer or an experienced team. Please include examples of systems you have personally built that involved AI plus external APIs and real-world transactions.
