Senior Android Systems Engineer (VPN & Mobile Security)

We are building a next-generation mobile digital safety platform focused on device management, network security, manager controls, and intelligent activity reporting. Our engineering team is developing a modern cross-platform platform that combines advanced Android system capabilities with cloud services to deliver a secure, reliable experience for buinesses. We are looking for an experienced Android Systems Engineer who enjoys solving complex operating system and networking challenges. As our Senior Android Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the core Android platform for our mobile security application. Your work will include implementing VPN networking using Android’s VpnService framework, secure device registration, device management, application monitoring, usage analytics, network activity processing, website categorization, content filtering, application blocking, scheduling features, location services, geofencing, push notifications, and cloud synchronization. Candidates should have at least seven years of professional Android development experience and possess expert knowledge of Kotlin, Java, the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle. You should have extensive experience working with Android system APIs and frameworks, including VpnService, Foreground Services, WorkManager, Accessibility Services, UsageStatsManager, DevicePolicyManager, Broadcast Receivers, AlarmManager, and Notification Services. A strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, REST APIs, and WebSockets is essential, along with expertise in Android security, including permissions, secure storage, encryption, OAuth, JWT authentication, and certificate pinning. We strongly prefer candidates who have previously developed VPN applications, firewalls, mobile security software, Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, enterprise Android applications, endpoint security solutions, network filtering systems, digital wellbeing applications, or other Android-based device management and security products.
