Senior Full-Stack Developer Needed — Independent Technical Audit of Existing Web + Mobile Marketplace We are looking for an experienced senior full-stack developer / software architect to perform an independent technical audit of an existing web and mobile marketplace application. This is NOT initially a development position. The first assignment is to thoroughly review the existing application and provide a factual report showing exactly what has been completed, what is partially implemented, what is broken, what is missing, and what remains before the platform can be considered production-ready. The platform includes: * Web application * iOS mobile application * Android mobile application * Multiple user roles * Job marketplace * Local service marketplace * Messaging * Contracts * Payments and payouts * Subscriptions * Reviews * Notifications * Verification * Disputes * Admin management * Trust & Safety * Support system * Business and worker dashboards Current technology includes tools such as: * Next.js / React * TypeScript * Supabase / PostgreSQL * Expo / React Native * Payment integration * Email and notification services * Hetzner hosting * GitHub Scope of Audit You will be expected to review the application from frontend through backend, including: Frontend * Confirm every implemented page * Identify missing pages * Identify placeholder screens * Test buttons, forms, menus, navigation, and workflows * Verify responsive behavior * Compare mobile and web functionality * Identify visual or functional inconsistencies Backend * Review API routes and server logic * Confirm that frontend actions actually connect to backend functionality * Identify incomplete or unused endpoints * Review authentication and authorization * Review role-based permissions * Verify notifications and automated processes * Identify broken workflows Database * Review schema and relationships * Review migrations * Review row-level security / permissions * Identify missing tables or fields * Review data integrity and security * Identify unused or incomplete database structures Payments & Payouts * Review current payment architecture * Determine what is currently functional * Review payment funding, platform fees, payouts, refunds, disputes, and transaction records * Document what would be required to replace the current payment processor with Deluxe Payment Processing * Identify whether the current architecture can support payment before work begins and payout after job completion Mobile Applications * Review Expo / React Native application * Confirm whether iOS and Android builds are currently functional * Confirm whether a TestFlight build exists and reflects the latest code * Confirm whether the Android application is buildable * Compare mobile functionality with web functionality * Identify missing mobile workflows Admin System Review functionality for: * User management * Payments * Subscriptions * Disputes * Verification * Moderation * Support tickets * Platform settings * Content management Infrastructure Review: * GitHub repository * Hosting/deployment * Environment configuration * Supabase * Email system * Mobile build configuration * Deployment process * Backups * Security concerns * Ownership/access dependencies Required Final Report We want a clear written audit categorizing each module and feature as: * COMPLETE — verified and functional * PARTIALLY COMPLETE * FRONTEND ONLY * BACKEND ONLY * BROKEN * NOT IMPLEMENTED * REQUIRES TESTING * REQUIRES REBUILD / MAJOR REFACTOR The report should also include: * Overall estimated completion percentage * Major launch blockers * Critical security concerns * Technical debt * Missing functionality * Estimated effort required to finish the platform * Recommended priority order * Whether the current codebase is worth continuing or whether major sections should be rebuilt * Estimated timeline to production readiness Important We are looking for an independent technical assessment. Please do not simply review screenshots or task lists. You must be comfortable reading and running the actual codebase and verifying that claimed functionality truly works. Please include in your proposal: 1. Your experience auditing existing SaaS or marketplace applications 2. Your experience with Next.js, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Expo / React Native, and payment integrations 3. Examples of technical audits or inherited codebases you have reviewed 4. Your estimated number of hours required for a complete audit 5. Your hourly rate or fixed-price audit proposal 6. Whether you would potentially be interested in completing the remaining development after the audit There may be an opportunity for the successful auditor or their team to take over the remaining development after the audit is completed.
