Founding Full-Stack Engineer – Build RigScore (Gaming + AI + Steam) ## About the Project I'm building **RigScore**, a consumer web app that instantly analyzes a gaming PC and generates a personalized report. Think: * Carfax for Gaming PCs * Spotify Wrapped for your computer * Not another benchmark Instead of making users download 6GB benchmark software or interpret complicated hardware specs, RigScore turns a simple Windows DxDiag file (and optionally a Steam account) into an easy-to-understand report explaining: * How good their PC actually is * What it's best suited for * Whether it's balanced * What games it fits best * What (if anything) they should upgrade * A shareable AI-generated report (with optional Roast Mode) The goal is to launch an MVP in **3–4 weeks**. --- # Why This Is Different Existing products each solve one piece of the puzzle: * Can You RUN It (systemrequirementslab.com) – Detects hardware and checks if a PC can run a specific game. * UserBenchmark (userbenchmark.com) – Benchmarks individual components against other users. * 3DMark (3dmark.com) – Synthetic GPU benchmark requiring a large download. * Cinebench (maxon.net/cinebench) – CPU/GPU rendering benchmark. * SteamDB (steamdb.info) – Steam library analytics and account statistics. * PCGameBenchmark (pcgamebenchmark.com) – Game-specific hardware recommendations. RigScore combines these ideas into a single consumer experience. Instead of asking: "Can this PC run Cyberpunk?" RigScore answers: "This is an Elite-tier gaming PC that perfectly matches the games you actually play. Here's why." We're building a product focused on clarity, trust, and personalization—not another benchmarking utility. --- # MVP Features ### Required * Responsive Next.js web application * Windows DxDiag (.txt) upload * Deterministic DxDiag parser (no LLM parsing) * Hardware review/edit screen * RigScore scoring engine * AI-generated report using OpenAI Structured Outputs * Professional Mode * Roast Mode (lighthearted, Michael Scott-style humor) * Shareable report URL * Mobile responsive * Production deployment ### Phase 1 Optional Steam Integration Included in the MVP Users may optionally connect Steam to enhance their report. Steam integration is a required Phase 1 feature, but users must be able to skip it and still receive a complete hardware-only report. AI does not calculate the score. The scoring engine should be deterministic and transparent. --- # Ideal Candidate I prefer an individual senior product engineer rather than an agency or a team with rotating developers. The person applying should be the person doing the work. I will own the GitHub repository, domain, hosting, database, OpenAI account, Steam API credentials and all other infrastructure from the beginning.
