Software Developer for AI consultancy

We have built an initial working version of a multi-component AI solution for an accountancy firm in Claude Code. The system is more than a simple chatbot it includes multiple moving parts, structured logic, reporting/output workflows, and a review/testing process. The project has already gone through an initial sprint and is now moving into its next phase of refinement, bug fixing, testing, and rollout. The goal now is to bring in a strong engineer who can help stabilise, extend, and productionise the solution as the work expands. What we need help with: - Debugging and resolving issues in an existing AI application - Improving reliability and fit-for-purpose delivery - Supporting structured testing and feedback workflows - Helping prepare the product for broader beta rollout - Working within a scoped sprint model with clear deliverables - Contributing to ongoing iteration as new requirements are clarified This is a good fit for someone comfortable stepping into an existing codebase and helping turn an evolving prototype into a robust working product. Ideal profile: - Highly experienced with Claude Code - Strong in AI product engineering, not just prompt design - Comfortable with debugging, iteration, and structured delivery - Able to work on partially defined systems and improve architecture as needed - Familiar with production-minded thinking: testing, rollout readiness, maintainability - Comfortable collaborating in a fast-moving client services and delivery environment Nice to have: - Experience building multi-step AI workflows or agentic systems - Experience with review and feedback loops, evaluation workflows, or QA processes - Ability to help shape technical scope and break work into practical sprint deliverables - Good communication and pragmatic judgment around trade-offs Engagement: This is for expanding work already underway, not a greenfield experiment. We want someone senior enough to quickly understand the current build, identify risks, and contribute meaningfully to the next delivery phase.
