TikTok API Developer

We are building an AI-powered Hospitality Marketing Operating System for a multi-restaurant group. We are looking for an experienced developer to take full responsibility for the TikTok side of the platform, including TikTok developer setup, TikTok accounts content management, API integration, data collection, authentication, testing, and preparation for publishing. This is not simply a frontend or social-media-management job. We need someone who has experience working with TikTok for Developers / TikTok Business APIs and can implement a production-ready integration. The platform is designed to support multiple restaurants/brands, with each restaurant having its own TikTok account. The architecture is multi-tenant, meaning TikTok data needs to remain correctly associated with the relevant restaurant/account. Scope of Work The developer will be responsible for: Set up/configure the required TikTok Developer application(s) Handle TikTok API application, permissions and authentication setup Help set up/configure approximately 5–6 TikTok accounts for the restaurant brands, including the technical/business configuration needed for API integration Connect all TikTok accounts to our platform Implement OAuth/authentication and secure token handling Implement TikTok Display API or the current equivalent APIs required for organic account/content data Retrieve TikTok organic performance metrics such as: Video/post performance Watch time Completion rate where available Views Likes Comments Shares Follower/account metrics Retrieve TikTok comments/community data where supported Implement TikTok Marketing API integration for paid advertising data Retrieve campaign/ad performance, spend and relevant metrics Support multiple TikTok accounts without hardcoding individual restaurants Store/normalize TikTok data so it can be consumed by our existing backend/dashboard Handle pagination, rate limits, token refresh, API errors and webhooks where applicable Prepare/implement the TikTok Content Posting API integration so approved content can later be published/scheduled from our platform Test the integration across all accounts Provide documentation explaining setup, permissions, credentials and maintenance Assist with TikTok's developer/app review or approval process where required Our project plan specifically anticipates TikTok developer approval being an early dependency, so experience dealing with TikTok's app-review process is important. Technical Environment Our wider platform uses: Frontend: React / Next.js Backend: Node.js / Express Database: PostgreSQL Architecture: API-first, modular, multi-tenant Queue/background jobs: Redis / BullMQ AI: Claude / OpenAI / Gemini The TikTok integration should be built as an independent adapter/service so future TikTok API changes can be handled without rebuilding the rest of the application. This follows the architecture of the overall system. Required Experience Please apply only if you have strong experience with at least some of the following: TikTok for Developers / TikTok APIs, TikTok Marketing API, TikTok Content Posting API, OAuth 2.0, Node.js/Express, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, multi-account integrations, token management and production API integrations. Previous experience getting a TikTok application through TikTok developer/API review is a major advantage. Deliverables At completion we expect: TikTok Developer/App setup completed Required API access/permissions configured Approximately 5–6 TikTok restaurant accounts configured and connected Organic TikTok analytics flowing into our backend Paid TikTok advertising data flowing into our backend TikTok comments/community data integrated where supported Multi-account authentication and token management working Content Posting API integration implemented/prepared for publishing Error handling, rate-limit handling and token refresh implemented Integration tested Clear technical/setup documentation Code committed to our repository The broader platform is designed so the client owns the codebase and integrations, so all source code produced for this contract must be delivered to our repository.
