WordPress Developer Needed to Complete Existing Website Template / Theme Replacement

My client is looking for an experienced WordPress developer to complete an existing WordPress website template/theme replacement project. This is not a new website build or a migration to a new platform. The existing WordPress website is live and will remain in place. An updated/replacement template has already been partially developed, and we need an experienced developer to review the existing work, identify what remains, and bring it to production readiness. Project Objectives The goal is to complete the updated WordPress design while: • Keeping the existing WordPress installation and CMS • Maintaining the current URL structure • Preserving existing content and functionality • Avoiding unnecessary changes to existing URLs or SEO structure • Completing and correcting the partially developed replacement template • Ensuring the site is production-ready across desktop, tablet, and mobile Scope of Review and Work The selected developer should review the existing production site and partially completed replacement template and determine what is required to finish the project, including: • Remaining template/theme development • Page layouts and reusable components • Header, footer, navigation, and menus • Responsive and mobile behavior • Existing forms and integrations • Images, assets, links, and downloadable content • WordPress plugins and compatibility • Styling inconsistencies and unfinished pages • Cross-browser compatibility • Performance and Core Web Vitals • Existing metadata, canonicals, and SEO settings • Preservation of existing URLs • 404s, broken links, and redirects, if any • Security and WordPress development best practices • Production deployment and final QA The developer should compare the replacement template against the current production website to ensure that important content, functionality, URLs, forms, metadata, and SEO elements are not inadvertently lost or changed. First Deliverable – Assessment Before beginning substantial development work, we would like the developer to: 1. Review the existing production website and replacement template. 2. Determine what has already been completed. 3. Identify incomplete, incorrect, or missing work. 4. Provide a concise list of the remaining tasks. 5. Identify any technical, SEO, performance, or deployment concerns. 6. Provide an estimated number of hours and timeline required to bring the replacement template to production. Once we agree on the remaining scope, we will proceed with the completion work. We anticipate the initial assessment should require approximately 2–4 hours, depending on the current state of the template.
