WordPress Migration Specialist Needed – Custom Theme, CDN and HubSpot

We’re a UK marketing agency looking for an experienced WordPress migration specialist to move a client website from its current agency-managed hosting to a new managed WordPress host. This is a host-to-host migration using the existing domain. It isn’t a redesign or rebuild. The website’s design, content, functionality, URL structure and existing SEO configuration must be preserved unless we approve a necessary technical change. Website This is a medium-sized UK manufacturing website with approximately 70-plus core public URLs and further archived content. It includes: A custom WordPress theme. 28 product pages and nine main sector pages. Project case studies and news articles. Existing live and staging WordPress environments. A substantial image and media library served through DigitalOcean Spaces/CDN. Embedded HubSpot forms and related integrations. Existing analytics, tracking, cookie-consent and SEO configuration. No e-commerce functionality. The live URL and access information will be provided through Upwork to shortlisted candidates. Full credentials will be supplied securely after appointment. Scope of work The engagement will have two stages. 1. Pre-migration assessment and plan Review the live and staging installations, hosting environment and available access. Confirm the WordPress, PHP and database requirements of the destination hosting. Review the custom theme, custom code, plugins and licence dependencies. Assess the DigitalOcean Spaces/CDN and media-offload configuration. Identify HubSpot forms, email delivery, scheduled jobs and other integrations that must be preserved. Review the relevant DNS, SSL, caching and security configuration. Confirm the proposed migration method, required access, risks, rollback process, timetable and fixed implementation cost. Clearly identify anything outside the clean migration scope before implementation begins. 2. Migration, testing and cutover Create and verify independent backups of the WordPress files and database. Configure the destination hosting environment. Migrate the complete site to a non-public staging or preview environment. Preserve the custom theme, plugins, settings, users, media, URLs and database content. Recreate an appropriate staging environment on the new hosting. Test representative pages across every main page type and template. Test navigation, site search, downloads, images, responsive layouts and WordPress administration. Test HubSpot form submission, confirmation behaviour, data capture and email notifications. Verify analytics, tracking and cookie-consent functionality. Check status codes, redirects, metadata, canonical tags, robots.txt, XML sitemap and noindex settings. Verify SSL, CDN, caching, backups, security and performance configuration. Prepare a documented cutover and rollback plan. Complete the approved DNS cutover with minimal disruption. Perform post-launch checks and remain available during an agreed five-working-day stabilisation period. Provide a short migration record and handover note covering the work completed, configuration changes and any remaining recommendations. Essential experience You must have demonstrable experience of: Migrating established WordPress business websites between hosting providers. Working with custom WordPress themes and PHP/MySQL environments. Staging, backups, DNS, SSL, caching and rollback procedures. CDN or object-storage configurations, ideally DigitalOcean Spaces. Embedded HubSpot forms or similar CRM integrations. Protecting technical SEO during a host migration. Diagnosing migration problems without making unapproved changes to the website. We want to complete the migration during September 2026, before the current hosting arrangement ends. Please confirm your availability for a coordinated UK-time cutover and post-launch checks. Generic proposals that don’t address the custom theme, CDN/media configuration, HubSpot forms and SEO checks won’t be considered.
