Automating Job Applications

Build an Automated Job Search & Application Tool I’m looking for an experienced developer to build a job search and application automation tool that can identify relevant job openings, evaluate them against my profile/resume, and streamline or automate the application process. The goal is to reduce the manual work involved in searching through job boards and repeatedly completing applications. Core Requirements The tool should be able to: * Search multiple job boards and company career pages for newly posted positions. * Filter jobs based on title, location, remote/hybrid status, salary, experience level, keywords, and posting date. * Compare each job description against my resume/profile and generate a job-match score. * Prioritize high-quality matches and avoid duplicate applications. * Automatically populate common application information. * Generate tailored resume/cover-letter content where appropriate. * Track applications in a dashboard/database, including company, position, date applied, job URL, status, and match score. * Maintain a record so the same position is not applied to twice. * Allow rules such as auto-apply only when match score is above a certain threshold, while sending other jobs for manual review. * Provide a simple way for me to review jobs that require additional questions or manual intervention. Preferred Workflow Job Discovery → Filtering → AI Resume Matching → Application Decision → Form Filling/Application → Application Tracking I would prefer a system that can run automatically on a schedule and continuously identify newly posted jobs. Important The solution should be designed responsibly around the rules and technical limitations of individual job platforms. Where full automation isn’t appropriate or permitted, the system should switch to a human-in-the-loop workflow rather than trying to bypass CAPTCHAs, anti-bot protections, or platform restrictions. Ideal Developer I’m looking for someone with experience in: * Python / JavaScript / browser automation * Playwright or Selenium * APIs and web integrations * AI/LLM integrations * Resume/job-description matching * Database and application tracking * Building reliable automation workflows When applying, please explain how you would architect this system, which parts you believe can be fully automated, which should remain human-assisted, and provide examples of similar automation projects you’ve built. The initial project can be an MVP, but I want the architecture to support additional job boards and features later.
