Fullstack Developer

LOCATION Remote, PHIL Based HOURS 40 per week, full-time SCHEDULE 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Sydney business hours CLIENTS Multiple clients and projects About us We are a multidisciplinary agency that provides development, marketing, and operations support to businesses across Australia. Our clients come from different industries and business units, and our developers work across several of them at once. The role This is a full-time role, but it is not tied to a single client. Your 40 hours each week will be divided across multiple clients, so on any given day you will be working on more than one project, codebase, and set of priorities. You will work directly with different clients: taking briefs, giving progress updates, and delivering to agreed deadlines. Work follows Sydney business hours, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Current projects • Trade marketplace platform. A B2B marketplace where customers order from multiple suppliers in one checkout. The work centres on supplier integrations (catalogues, pricing, stock, and orders), along with front-end and back-end development as the platform goes live and scales. • Optometry systems. Software for optometry practices and optical businesses, including practice management systems (PMS), desktop applications, and the integrations and tools around them. More projects will be added as new clients come on board. What the work involves • Building and maintaining integrations with third-party and supplier systems through APIs and webhooks • Importing and syncing product catalogues, pricing, and stock data between platforms • Sending and receiving orders and fulfilment status updates between systems • Handling failed orders and syncs: logging them, retrying them, and alerting the team • Developing features across the front end and back end of web applications • Supporting and enhancing practice management systems and desktop applications • Managing deployments and backend operations • Documenting each integration and feature so another developer can pick it up • Communicating progress clearly with clients and the internal team Skills and experience • Node.js and Express in a commercial production environment • React for front-end development • MongoDB • Building and consuming REST APIs with JSON • Webhooks, including securing and verifying incoming requests • OAuth2 and JWT authentication • AWS hosting, deployments, and monitoring • Git, ideally Bitbucket, with pull request and code review discipline Desirable • PHP and Laravel • Livewire • React Native • Shopify Admin API and Shopify app development • Integrations with supplier, ERP, or inventory systems • Order, payment, and invoicing workflows in e-commerce or marketplaces • Desktop application development • Practice management systems (PMS) or healthcare software • Familiarity with Australian GST and tax invoice requirements The person • Clear written English. Most communication will be in writing. • Comfortable switching between clients and projects within the same day, and keeping each one on track. • Works independently and raises problems early instead of waiting. • Comfortable reading another company's API documentation and working out what is missing. • Careful with anything that touches money: orders, payments, credit, and invoices. • Available to work Sydney business hours, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. How we will assess candidates • A review of past integration work, ideally involving orders or payments. • A short exercise based on a sample API document: explain the flow and identify gaps or risks. • A short practical coding test covering front-end and back-end tasks. • A final interview with the team to confirm fit. • Salary TBD
