What we need done
We recently migrated our company website from WordPress to a custom Next.js codebase, and while the site is live, it doesn't fully match our established Figma brand system, and a few marketing-facing features (lead capture, downloads, sign-ups, analytics) broke or were dropped during the migration. We need an intermediate-level Next.js/React developer to rebuild the affected pages to spec and get marketing functionality working properly again. This is an existing production site — not a from-scratch build.
Skills required
Next.js and React, with real production experience (not just tutorials)
Translating Figma designs/previous website into responsive, reusable components
Git/GitHub, comfortable working in a branch → PR → review workflow
Debugging front-end functionality (forms, tracking, downloads) rather than only building new UI
How we work
Changes go through a staged process: branch, local preview, pull request with review, auto-deploy to a staging environment, our team signs off, then a designated approver promotes to production. Merging a PR does not put changes live by itself — we'll walk you through this on day one. We use Cursor internally for smaller edits, but larger structural or brand-system work should meet real frontend engineering standards (responsive, accessible, reusable).
Communication
We're looking for someone who flags decisions or ambiguity rather than guessing, especially anything touching brand or UX — quick async updates (Slack or Upwork messages) work well for us, and we'll do a short kickoff call to align on priorities and Figma/previous website files before work starts.
