NFC-based guard-tour app already built and working. We’re looking for a senior freelancer to finish it and launch it to production — not to rebuild it. The project NFC ROUND is a security guard tour management app: guards scan NFC cards at checkpoints, every scan is timestamped, and a shift report proves the rounds were done. Everything is already built and works as a demo — but the server still runs on a development laptop. What already exists • Node.js / Express / PostgreSQL backend (~135 routes, 32 migrations, 427 automated tests). • Native Android app and native iOS app (NFC reading ready, to be enabled). • Web console (supervision + client portal), bilingual FR/EN, Quebec Law 25 compliant. • Documented code; knowledge transfer from the outgoing developer. • The mandate (what’s left to do) • Finalize the existing backend (~20–40 h per the outgoing developer). • Deploy to the cloud in a Canadian region (Law 25), infrastructure as code. • Harden for production: TLS, secrets management, encryption, verified backups. • Wire up email (reports, password reset) and push notifications (FCM / APNs). • Monitoring and backups. • Publish to the App Store (enable iOS NFC) and Google Play. Important: we keep the existing code. Proposals to rewrite everything in another language or framework are out of scope. Who we’re looking for • Proven cloud production launch (a backend you’ve already deployed), data hosted in Canada. • Node.js / PostgreSQL — able to take over and finish existing code, not rewrite it. • App Store and Google Play publishing; production security. • Comfortable with a documented repository and AI-generated code. • Language: clear communication in French, or Russian, or Romanian. Constraint Data must be hosted in Canada (Law 25) — non-negotiable.
