Part-Time WordPress Developer — Home Services Business (Ongoing Retainer + Project-Based)

About Us TexFlow is a rapidly scaling home services business (air duct cleaning + chimney services) operating across Texas. We're building a national brand through Google Business Profiles, SEO, and Local Services Ads. We work with a fully remote team and dispatch all work to vetted subcontractors. The Role We need a WordPress expert to: Build and optimize our main website architecture for SEO and multi-location scaling Implement custom WordPress solutions using ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for dynamic location pages Maintain and update the site weekly/as-needed for performance, schema markup, and conversion improvements Help us prepare infrastructure for national brand expansion (multiple service areas, state/city page hierarchy) Oversee technical SEO (site speed, mobile optimization, structured data) This is part-time (~12–15 hours/week ongoing) with flexibility for project bursts (e.g., major rebuilds). What We're Looking For 3+ years WordPress development experience (preferably with ACF, custom post types, taxonomies) Strong understanding of technical SEO (schema markup, page speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data) Experience building multi-location or hierarchical page architectures (essential) Portfolio of WordPress sites you've built (we'll review) Ability to work asynchronously and own projects end-to-end Timezone: flexible, but reliable communication required Nice to Have Experience with home services or local SEO businesses Understanding of conversion optimization (CTA placement, form optimization) Experience with WordPress security and backups Familiarity with GA4 + Search Console integration Deliverables (Month 1) Audit of existing site architecture Proposal for multi-location page hierarchy (/texas/austin/, /texas/san-antonio/, etc.) Build 3 location page templates with ACF custom fields Implement schema markup for LocalBusiness and Service Site speed audit + optimization recommendations Rate & Timeline Fixed-price project: depending on scope Ongoing retainer: $9 hourly for 12–15 hours/week Start: ASAP (ideally this week) How to Apply Share your portfolio (3+ WordPress projects, especially multi-location or hierarchical sites) Tell us: What's your process for building a multi-location WordPress site optimized for local SEO?
