I’m looking for an experienced Python developer to build an automated product sourcing tool for my Amazon business.
The goal is to compare retailer product data against Amazon listings, calculate profitability and sourcing risk, and generate a ranked list of buying opportunities.
The solution should:
* Connect to the Amazon SP-API and Keepa API.
* Retrieve and process Amazon product data.
* Import retailer product data from one or more retailers.
* Match retailer products to Amazon ASINs using identifiers such as UPC, EAN, model number, or manufacturer part number.
* Calculate estimated profit, ROI, net margin, and Amazon fees.
* Apply configurable sourcing rules, including minimum profit, ROI, demand, competition, and price stability.
* Identify whether Amazon is a competing seller on the listing.
* Generate a ranked buy list with recommended test quantities and BUY / REVIEW / PASS recommendations.
* Export results to Excel or Google Sheets, with the architecture designed to support future dashboard integration.
The code should be modular, well documented, and built so additional retailers, filters, and scoring logic can be added over time.
When responding, please include:
* Examples of similar Amazon sourcing, repricing, or automation tools you’ve built.
* Your experience with Amazon SP-API, Keepa API, and Python.
* Your proposed technical architecture.
* An estimated timeline and cost for an initial proof of concept.
My preference is to start with a proof of concept using a single retailer and expand once the core system is validated.
