Senior Full Stack Developer (React & Node.js) – Stripe Payment & Checkout Flow Optimization

We are an expanding digital subscription platform currently scaling our web application built on React (frontend) and Node.js/Express (backend). As we ramp up our user acquisition, we need an experienced full-stack developer to jump in immediately, resolve a couple of critical checkout bugs, and optimize our payment processing pipeline. Current Pain Points & Scope of Work: Stripe Integration & Webhooks: Occasionally, Stripe webhook events fail to update our backend user subscription status immediately after a successful checkout, requiring manual database checks. We need this asynchronous event listener bulletproofed. Frontend State Handling: On mobile viewports (iOS Safari specifically), submitting the payment form sometimes triggers a double-click submission bug or fails to clear input state cleanly upon error. API Error Logging: Clean up existing error-handling middleware on our Node.js API endpoints to ensure user-friendly error messages are returned instead of generic 500 dumps. Technical Stack Requirements: Deep hands-on experience with React.js and modern state management. Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express, and RESTful API architecture. Demonstrated production experience integrating Stripe Checkout and handling webhooks securely. Ability to write clean, self-documented code with proper error handling.
