Snowflake Data Engineer for Production Deployment

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with extensive experience with Snowflake who can independently take an existing prototype into production. The engagement will focus on productionizing the data pipeline and architecture, API integrations, and developing unique infrastructure for form-based annotation and record creation from analysts’ observations. We are looking for a proactive, creative thinking, solution-oriented problem solver with a strong sense of ownership. Given our tight timeline, we need someone who can get started quickly, fully commit to the project, and consistently deliver results within agreed deadlines. What we need from you: Productionize 1-2 existing data ingestion pipeline POCs (API in, ELT) Productionize existing Medallion Architecture POC integrating data from multiple sources Develop and refine 4-6 basic analytics dashboards Refine and expand parameterized search tool (uses API parameters to allow dashboard users to use a form to query through API for new data from external sources) Build a tool for dashboard users to record their observations (e.g. use a form to create a DB record that includes user notes, user metadata, selected datapoints/statistics/comparisons, etc) Design data model + schema for the user-created observation records above Target Start Date: November 9, 2026 Target Completion: December 31, 2026 Expected Hours per Week: 30 to 40 hours Location: Remote (open to candidates in any time zone*) Availability: *At least [2–3] hours daily of overlap with US Pacific Time for meetings and collaboration Required Experience: Snowflake: Deep, hands-on experience designing, building, optimizing, and deploying production-ready solutions within Snowflake. Experience with Streamlit, Cortex Code or similar coding assistants, and integrating data with internal analytics applications desired. Python & SQL: Strong proficiency in data processing, transformation, and automation. Data Pipelines & APIs: Proven experience building reliable data ingestion pipelines and API integrations, including automation and monitoring. Data Architecture & Modeling: Experience with ELT and/or Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), data modeling, and schema development Data Security: Experience implementing role-based access controls, secure data access, and tenant/data isolation.
