Title: Python Developer / Automation Engineer — API Integrations + AI-Assisted Workflows

Overview I need someone who can build small automation pipelines that connect third-party APIs together, and who's comfortable working with Claude (Anthropic's AI) — both using Claude Code to build/maintain scripts, and structuring projects so Claude can do repeatable analysis/reporting work inside them. This isn't a big app-build; it's scripts, API glue, and light front-end output (like a static HTML dashboard), done well. You should be able to: Write clean Python (or Node) scripts that call REST APIs — auth, pagination, rate limits, retries, error handling Read API docs for third-party services (scraping tools, transcription services, data providers, etc.) and integrate them without hand-holding Set up and manage API keys/environment variables securely (not hardcoded, not committed to git) Use Claude Code (or similar AI coding tools) as part of your workflow — comfortable working with an AI pair-programmer, not just prompting ChatGPT for snippets Build simple, dependency-light outputs — e.g. a single self-contained HTML file with embedded data/charts, no server or build step required Set up basic automation/scheduling (cron, launchd, Task Scheduler, or a hosted equivalent) so a pipeline can run unattended Debug gracefully — read error messages, check logs, know when it's a bad API key vs. a rate limit vs. a code bug Explain technical decisions in plain English to a non-technical client Nice to have: Experience with data scraping/collection APIs (Apify, Bright Data, etc.) and understanding of the legal/gray-area considerations around scraping Experience with speech-to-text or media-processing APIs Comfortable structuring a project with clear docs (README, config files) so a non-technical person can maintain it going forward Deliverable expectations: Working scripts with clear setup instructions (what to install, what keys to get, how to run it) Reasonable error handling so one bad API call doesn't crash the whole run A short handoff/walkthrough so I can run and troubleshoot it myself afterward
