Wordpress community platform

I am seeking an experienced WordPress developer to complete and customize a membership-based leadership and community platform for a nonprofit organization. The platform will bring together leaders, changemakers, nonprofit professionals, entrepreneurs, advocates, and mission-driven individuals to connect, collaborate, share resources, and access leadership opportunities. We already have an existing WordPress website and need a freelancer to complete the platform setup, functionality, and design. The scope of work includes setting up a secure member registration and login system, customizable membership profiles, a searchable member directory, interactive community forums and discussion boards, and private member-to-member chat and messaging. The developer will also create a centralized member dashboard, configure notifications and user permissions, and customize the overall design to align with our organization's branding. The platform should be modern, professional, user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and seamlessly integrated with our existing website. The ideal freelancer will have proven experience developing WordPress membership and community platforms, with knowledge of BuddyPress, or similar plugins. Strong skills in WordPress customization, CSS, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and website design are preferred. Responsibilities include assessing the existing website, recommending the best technical solutions, completing all features, testing functionality, resolving issues, and delivering a fully operational platform ready for members. Please include relevant portfolio examples and estimated timeline.
