WordPress Site Updates and Custom Theme Development

We’re looking for an experienced **WordPress developer** to make a focused set of updates to plastic surgery practice website built on a **custom WordPress theme**. ### Scope of Work * **Reviews:** Integrate reviews from third-party platforms directly into the website. * **Analytics & conversion tracking:** Improve sitewide conversion tracking for key actions such as consultation requests, booking clicks, phone calls, forms, etc., and install/configure **Microsoft Clarity** for session recordings and behavior analysis. * **Navigation:** Replace the current hamburger/side menu with a traditional desktop top navigation. * **Homepage hero:** Replace the current stock hero image with a video featuring Dr. Judge, optimized for performance and mobile. * **Before & After Gallery:** Identify and implement a better gallery solution that allows us to: * Tag and organize cases * Filter/search by procedure and other attributes * Easily add and manage new cases * **Blog/content system:** Improve the current blogging experience so our team can easily create rich posts incorporating text, images, embedded videos, and other content. * **Content updates:** Help implement content that we provide across existing pages where changes require developer assistance. * **New treatment pages:** Create several additional procedure/treatment pages using our existing page templates and design system. * **SEO:** Ensure pages follow strong **technical and on-page SEO practices**, including titles/meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, image optimization, schema where appropriate, indexability, and site performance. ### Ideal Experience We’re looking for someone who has: * Strong WordPress development experience * **Experience modifying custom WordPress themes** * Front-end HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP experience * Experience implementing analytics and conversion tracking * Strong understanding of **technical and on-page SEO** * Experience evaluating and implementing WordPress plugins without unnecessarily slowing down or destabilizing a site * Ability to work within an existing design rather than rebuilding the website from scratch This is primarily an **implementation and optimization project**, not a full website redesign. We will provide most of the new written content and creative direction.
