Forward Deployed Engineer (AI) - Freelance / Contract

We're a lean data & AI consultancy helping small and mid-sized businesses adopt practical AI tools. We're looking for a freelance FDE to design and ship AI solutions directly inside client environments. What you'll do: - Scope and build AI solutions for SMB clients - Integrate AI tools into clients' existing systems - Work directly with clients (or alongside our founder) to understand their workflow and translate it into a working solution - Reuse and extend templates/playbooks where possible rather than building bespoke every time - Hand off clean documentation so solutions are maintainable after launch What we're looking for: - Can work independently from a scoped problem to a shipped solution with minimal hand-holding - Good communicator — comfortable in client conversations, not just heads-down coding - Prior freelance/consulting experience a plus To apply, send a short note on relevant AI/automation projects you've shipped, plus links to work if available.
