Senior Quality Engineer - Path to Quality Manager Build the Quality Organization. The company designs and manufactures high-performance electric motors for unmanned aircraft systems. As the company scales into aerospace and defense markets, we are hiring the person who will build the quality foundation that supports our next stage of growth. Location Sacramento, CA - Reports To VP of Finance & Operations - Quality Manager within 6–12 months - You will refine the existing Quality Management System, lead ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification, create the documentation and validation processes customers require, and build the future quality department as the company grows. 0–3 Months: Validate and expand the QMS, document procedures, establish inspection and validation standards. • 3–6 Months: Prepare and execute internal audits, drive certification readiness, implement quality metrics and CAPA. • 6–9 Months: Define hiring plan and begin building the quality organization. • 9–12 Months: Achieve certification objectives and transition into leadership of the growing quality team. Key Responsibilities • Lead development of an ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliant QMS. • Develop documentation, work instructions, inspection methods, and customer quality packages. • Own CAPA, root cause investigations, audits, supplier quality, and continuous improvement. • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure products meet demanding aerospace standards. • Develop scalable quality processes supporting U.S. and international manufacturing. Ideal Background • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline. • Experience implementing or improving ISO 9001 and AS9100 systems. • Strong GD&T;, blueprint interpretation, metrology, inspection, and quality engineering skills. • Leadership or supervisory experience with desire to build and mentor a team. • U.S. Citizenship/ITAR eligibility.
