Part-time automation developer: Node.js, Python and n8n (remote)

A small UK engineering consultancy needs a part-time developer, remote, for an internal automation harness (Python, PowerShell, Google Sheets) and a WhatsApp-based permit workflow on n8n (Node code nodes, Google APIs). Briefs are written for you, every change is reviewed, tests first. About two days a week, three-month trial. What the work covers - Tests for small Python scripts and hooks on Windows, written before the change, plus PowerShell where the task needs it. - n8n workflows: Code nodes in Node.js, Google Sheets and Gmail nodes, an IMAP trigger, webhooks, with credentials kept out of the repository. - A WhatsApp Cloud API inbound flow, with media saved to Google Drive. - Writing to Google Sheets and Drive through the API with OAuth, and reading back what was written. How the work runs - Each piece of work arrives as a written brief. Scope is set for you. - You return a diff with tests and a short plain-English note: what changed, how it was tested, what is left. - Small commits with imperative messages. - An NDA is signed before any code or data is shared.
