React Frontend Developer for Website Refinement

House of Content is a commercial film and stills production company. We are looking for an individual freelancer with strong visual design skills and frontend development experience to refine and complete our website. We already have a coded draft and will provide the project as a ZIP file for review. We need someone who can understand the existing direction, suggest thoughtful improvements and bring the website to a polished, reliable finish. The ideal professional will have: Experience taking over existing React and TypeScript projects. A strong eye for typography, composition and visual detail. Excellent CSS and responsive design skills. Experience with website video integration and scroll interactions. The ability to test, troubleshoot and prepare the finished site for launch. We welcome an AI-assisted workflow, with careful design judgment and thorough testing. Please share two or three relevant live websites, explain your role in each, and let us know your availability. We will provide the ZIP and discuss the scope with suitable candidates. Skill What they need to do on your draft React and TypeScript Understand and refine the existing page components and navigation. CSS and responsive design Improve typography, magazine-cover compositions, spacing and layouts across desktop and mobile. JavaScript scroll interactions Refine the existing transitions between the five covers. Web video / Vimeo integration Make footage load and play reliably, including autoplay, pausing and mobile behaviour. Build and deployment Run and publish the existing Vinext/Vite project, which currently uses a Cloudflare Worker. Browser testing and performance Check Safari, Chrome, iPhone and Android; resolve loading, scrolling and layout problems.
