About Pocket Pocket Creator is an iOS app for TikTok Shop creators. A creator connects their TikTok account, talks to Pocket about products and ideas, and gets ready-to-film scripts based on their own videos and market data. One technical founder built it in six weeks with AI coding agents. It works end to end and is in internal TestFlight. Our first wave of beta creators starts soon, through creator groups we already have access to. We're not looking for more features. We need someone senior who owns whether it works for real creators. What you'll do in the first 4 weeks You own one journey: connect TikTok, analyse videos, generate a grounded script, save it, reopen it. At the end, it works for our beta creators and we can prove it. 1.⁠ ⁠Week 1: read the code and tell us the truth. A short written review: what's solid, what will break with real users, and what we should delete. 2.⁠ ⁠Find where the journey fails and fix it. Trace each failure to its stage: account data, video processing, the AI step, saving or delivery to the app. 3.⁠ ⁠Make interrupted work safe. Lost connection, app closed or chat switched mid-request: no lost results, no stuck screens, no duplicate paid AI calls. 4.⁠ ⁠Measure it with real creators. Completed analyses, time to first useful script, cost per completed analysis. 5.⁠ ⁠Leave it maintainable. Regression tests and release checks that run in CI, plus a handover the founder can run without you. An architecture deck or a rewrite plan doesn't count as done. Working, measured improvements do. What you'll work with Layer What we use Backend TypeScript monorepo, Next.js on Vercel Data Supabase Postgres: migrations, row-level security, pg_cron AI Vercel AI SDK and LLM APIs, model routing, ffmpeg for video App Native Swift iOS app, shipped through TestFlight Integrations TikTok Login Kit and video APIs, market data provider Observability PostHog and Langfuse, already built and ready to switch on You're a fit if •⁠ ⁠You've shipped an AI feature to real users and fixed it in production, not just built the prototype. •⁠ ⁠You're strong in TypeScript, Node and Postgres. •⁠ ⁠You've built background jobs that survive failure: retries, idempotency, recovery. •⁠ ⁠You use AI coding agents every day, and you're comfortable reading and cutting code they wrote. •⁠ ⁠You'll say "this is ready" or "this isn't", and stand behind it. •⁠ ⁠You can overlap several hours a day with Spain (CET). Nice to have: iOS app lifecycle in Swift, video or media pipelines, evaluating LLM output, knowing how TikTok Shop creators work. Not a fit if you want to start with a rewrite, or need a full spec before you begin.
