What our clients build is rarely visible but heavily used: production-grade services on our platform, integrations into grown system landscapes, and features without a user interface, because agents don't fill in forms. For this, we are looking for a full-stack developer with a backend focus. Someone who is comfortable with the frontend but works mostly where reliability, maintainability and clean integration decide how well things run every day. Who fits us You haven't just maintained backend systems, you have owned them. You have done enough frontend work to know where your API makes a colleague's life harder. You don't read up on new technologies when a project demands it, you do it beforehand. Deadline pressure doesn't make you negotiate quality, it makes you say earlier what doesn't fit. You communicate in German and English, because our teams and customers are spread across countries. And you care whether people enjoy working with the result in the end. What you can measure us by You work with our solution architects on the technical roadmap instead of processing tickets someone else decided. Your code goes through review just like your colleagues' code, and that is the place where people learn fastest here. Tests and the deployment pipeline are part of the definition of "done", not a clean-up phase afterwards. That's why you won't find a long list of requirements here that nobody fully meets. We are not looking for the best, but for the people who fit us best. Tech stack (you don't need all of it) • Backend: TypeScript / Node.js (e.g. NestJS) or Python (e.g. FastAPI). Java or Go are a plus. • APIs and integration: REST (OpenAPI), GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven design, integration with legacy systems (SOAP, file and database interfaces, ERP and CRM systems) • Data: PostgreSQL, Redis, message queues (e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ) • Frontend (enough to collaborate well): React and TypeScript • Agent and automation context: tool calling and function interfaces for AI agents, experience with LLM APIs, MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a plus • Delivery and operations: Git, CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions or GitLab CI), Docker, cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP), Kubernetes is a plus • Quality and operations: automated testing (unit, integration), code review, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), OAuth 2.0 and API security basics
