Backend Developer to Harden and Finalize Existing Platform

BUDGET: $200 FIXED — FULL BACKEND HARDENING OF EXISTING FASTAPI PLATFORM I am looking for a Python backend developer to review, correct, and fully harden an existing FastAPI backend. The platform is already substantially built. The current codebase includes the frontend, FastAPI backend, database models, API structure, authentication and role scaffolding, configurable deployment architecture, framework/assessment engine, evidence/provenance logic, compliance/risk/action modules, and an existing test foundation. This is not a greenfield build and I am not looking for a redesign or rewrite. The objective is to take the existing backend and bring it to a substantially stronger, production-ready state. The scope includes: FastAPI/Python backend review and correction PostgreSQL schema hardening SQLAlchemy/Alembic migrations Authentication and authorization review RBAC and tenant-isolation hardening API validation and error handling Security and secrets/configuration handling Data integrity and transaction handling Logging and monitoring setup Backup/recovery readiness Testing and test coverage improvements Deployment-readiness improvements Identification and correction of structural/backend defects Clear documentation for setup and deployment The selected developer will receive the existing codebase for review. The first milestone should conclude with: 1. A hardened backend codebase 2. Working PostgreSQL/Alembic migration setup 3. Corrected authentication, RBAC, and tenant-isolation issues 4. Improved API validation, security, and error handling 5. Improved testing and deployment readiness 6. Setup/deployment documentation 7. A short summary of any remaining production risks that could not reasonably be addressed within the existing architecture The goal is to improve and harden what already exists, not to rebuild the application from scratch. Custom ML development, major frontend redesign, and new product features are outside this scope. Budget: $200 fixed. Please apply only if you are comfortable completing this scope within that budget.
